THE CROATIAN Tourism Association pointed out on Monday that the latest data on the number of newly infected individuals and total active cases show that the Croatian coast is still the safest destination for tourists from the European Union.
According to the data provided by county task forces, only five new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the coastal area from Istria to Dubrovnik on Sunday. Considering that this area has about 1.4 million inhabitants, the number amounts to only 0.357 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, as pointed out by the Croatian Tourism Association.
Given that there are currently more than 700,000 tourists on the Adriatic, it can be said that the situation is even better – only 0.238 new cases per 100,000 people.
Since the Croatian Tourism Association launched the Corona Region Tracker, the number of active cases on the entire Croatian coast has been decreasing each day.
