A CORONA PARTY was held in the Niko restaurant in Zadar during the Adria Tour tennis tournament. The owner Erik Pavin proudly hosted the tennis elite who participated in the tournament organized by Novak Djokovic during the coronavirus pandemic.
After the opening of the tournament on Friday night, Novak Djokovic, Goran Ivanisevic, Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, and Marin Cilic came with their wives to dinner, which soon turned into a party. Borna Coric, the best Croatian tennis player, who tested positive for coronavirus two days later, was also with them. The team was entertained by the klapa Niko and the band Forum. Coric and Ivanisevic had an amazing time and climbed on the stage to sing with the band.
Coric and Ivanisevic sang with the band on the stage
They sang the Croatian song "Dalmatinac sam, tu sam rođen ja (I'm a Dalmatian, that's where I was born)", and when the hit song "Ca ce mi Copacabana (I need no Copacabana)" started, Novak Djokovic got up and danced. He did not climb on the stage, but he took photos with guests and restaurant staff and hugged them.
"The singing tennis giants! It was our great pleasure to host the world's best tennis players, who enjoyed the atmosphere and delicacies of our restaurant while listening to beautiful songs performed by the klapa Niko and the band Forum last night. The Adria Tour team was in a great mood. Other than the organizer of the tournament in Zadar, the great Novak Djokovic, we also hosted Dominik Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, Marin Cilic, and their wives. Borna Coric and Goran Ivanisevic made a special contribution to the party by singing with Erik and the rest of the klapa Niko on the stage and entertaining everyone in the audience with their extraordinary vocal abilities. Guys, we wish you the best of luck in the upcoming matches," reads the post on the Facebook page of this famous restaurant.
It should be noted that Dominic Thiem did not participate in the tournament in Zadar.
Apart from the restaurant in Zadar, another corona party was held after the matches at the TC Visnjik, and the recordings from the Gibboni concert posted by Novak Djokovic were seen by over a million of his Instagram followers.
Last night, the finals of the Adria Tour were canceled after Bulgarian tennis player Dimitrov, who had earlier withdrawn from the tournament, confirmed that he has the coronavirus.
According to the latest available information, a total of 22 people were tested in Zadar, with 19 of them testing negative for coronavirus. Other than Borna Coric and Grigor Dimitrov, Marko Paniki, Novak Djokovic's fitness coach, and Christian Groh, Grigor Dimitrov's coach, also tested positive.
