INDEX DESK received another receipt from Dubrovnik. It is a well-known fact by now that the prices in Dubrovnik are higher than in other coastal towns in Croatia due to high rent prices. Still, many people who visit Dubrovnik are surprised when they get their receipt.

The receipt we received from our reader was issued in the town center, and it amounted to € 25.36 for drinks, even though it included the discount for Croatian guests.

In this restaurant in Dubrovnik, Coca Cola costs € 3.96, and so does Fanta, while sparkling water costs € 2.64. Our reader also paid € 2.64 for a coffee with milk, and the total amounted to € 31.69. Given the discount for Croatian guests, the total of the receipt was reduced to € 25.36.
